RALLY & LOBBY DAY FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL BOND The most important Land Conservation Bill of the next 5 years!   Thank you for all the work you did to help make April 9th ’s Rally & Lobby Day such a huge success.   We saw 200 people show up to tell the legislature that we need to pass an Environmental Bond this session because our critical environmental, health and safety programs simply cannot wait.   The speakers, Senator Pam Resor, Senator Stephen Brewer, Representative Frank Smizik, DCR Commissioner Rick Sullivan and Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Ian Bowles are all to be thanked and commended for their strong vocal support of the Environmental Bond. Their presence helped build the excitement of the crowd and made this one of the biggest environmental lobbying days the state has ever seen.   The response from legislators was positive – everybody wants to see the Bond pass soon. The hundreds of you who contacted your legislators - whether on Wednesday, before or since have made a tremendous impact.
