Thanks for Coming to the 2024 Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference!

March 25, 2024

We were pleased to see nearly 400 of our colleagues at the 2024 Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference, including 63 presenters who developed engaging presentations on a wide range of land conservation topics. We also welcomed 15 new businesses and organizations who shared their expertise as exhibitors. Our plenary session included Massachusetts Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Rebecca Tepper, who spoke about the urgency of protecting 40% of the commonwealth’s land in order to meet climate goals by 2050.  Our featured keynote address was by Dr. Darren Ranco, Penobscot Nation citizen and Professor at the University of Maine. He spoke on opportunities for Wabanaki-led conservation in Maine and his efforts in developing proactive partnerships between environmental groups and indigenous communities. During our closing networking session, we witnessed connections being formed between environmental advocates, land conservation experts, and students from all over the State.
